What a Correct Installation Includes
- Manual J load calculation and Manual S equipment selection — sized to the house, not the old unit
- New pad, service valves, whip, disconnect and properly sized line-set (flushed or replaced, never reused dirty)
- Nitrogen purge and brazed joints, deep vacuum to 500 microns with a micron gauge, weighed-in charge
- New matched coil or air handler, correct TXV/metering device, and sealed plenum transitions
- Return and supply duct correction, mastic sealing, and R-8 attic duct upgrades where needed
- Smart thermostat setup, airflow verification by static pressure, and full commissioning report
- City permit and inspection handled by us, plus manufacturer registration for full warranty
Repair or Replace?
Replacement usually wins when the system is 12–15+ years old, still uses R-22, needs a compressor or coil, or the repair cost exceeds roughly one third of a new system.
